FAD (Free Air Delivery) is what the comp actually delivers, at a certain pressure. So it's the one you want to know when comparing against air tools requirements, the displacement is meaningless compared to tools req's.

Usually, the FAD is around 70% of the air displacement figure. AFAIK, there is no compressor on the market which has the same Displacement and FAD figures.
