CFM of an Airmaster Tiger Compressor

Just a quick question hoping somebody will know,
I have an Airmaster Tiger Turbo 8/25 compressor, I am wanting to buy a sand blaster/soda blaster but would like to know the CFM of my compressor.
I have looked online and searched here for answers but to no avail.

Will have to do a timer test if i cannot get answers here,

you could add a large gas bottle as air storage to keep you blasting longer but obviously it will take longer to fill

just been on the machine mart web site and the 8/25 or similar don't seem to correspond to cfm and litres reliably

When I started 4 of those large bottles & an old fridge compressor was all I could afford.
Remember to have outlets at bottom to allow water to drain you will require good water separator & a poor sense of smell.

Yes I believe it was 8 bar cut off pressure and 25 litre tank. What is its horse power as they are all pretty generic.

Yep quite right, I believe there was a similar thread many moons ago and if I remember correctly it meant 8 bar 25 ltr.

there is a 7/250, 9/24, 16/510,14/60, 14/100 all 8 bar so surely the first number doesn't represent max bar

Yes you are right, confusing isn't it, but I seem to remember the 8 bar thing from quite a while back. if its got the motor hp on it it would be easier to make an educated guess.

hmm you would think so wouldn't you but there are 6 and 8cfm machines both with 2HP motors and then a 6.3 cfm with a 1.5HP I think these machines are pot luck

and a 7.8 with a 2 HP

Looks like the 8 denotes 7.8cfm (*displacement), 25 would be the receiver in litres.
If your 8/25 is a 2.5hp compressor that would fit in with the numbers.

that's what I thought but not the case if you look at the various models

The best bet if you know the receiver volume (25L?) is to use a stopwatch, charge it 0-120psi and work out the average. The specs rarely match real world performance anyway

thanks to 'the snooper' for emailing them, will you post the reply when/if you get one?
where would i find the hp of the compressor? i tried looking last night but missed any information, just warning stickers.

i had another look,
the ink had been corroded up but could make out,
8 bar and 1.5 hp. hope this can help with cfm, i will research some more

You have no chance of blasting with that I had a 3hp abac monto Carlo 50l 10.4cfm and it was useless blew up the pump in the end as it couldn't hack continuous duty cycle.
More power the better. Once I get some pipe work for this machine I have now I am hoping I can start blasting my vw beetle again
