Chainsaw Chain Rivet Spinner Made.

Lots of us guys on the forum have chainsaws right? Well i have at least 15 of them. Chains can get pretty expensive for a few let alone for a bunch of them. So i can now make up my own lengths from a big roll and join the links together with this spinner...Bob

Seriously that looks good .. does it have hardened cupped faces on the anvils and are the treaded bars high tensile steel ?

What TPI are the threads and what rating is the steel bar and threaded "nuts "

I chucked several away that had mild steel anvils and mild steel screwed bar .. they soon gave up the ghost

I lost that bit out of my chain splitter but I found a section out of a roller bearing with similar diameter and put that in and it works fine.

sounds good but for what they cost id rather buy them ready made up and guaranteed. if one o them lets go it will be curtains 4 u . especialy most folk dont wear all the protective gear and havent had any training

Chains are ok to be put together. I dont have any experience with chain saws but Ive been putting chains on motorbikes since i was a nipper. If a chain on a motorbike lets go your lucky if it just takes half the bike away. They have been known to take legs off.

Chains are easy, but if you only use a couple a year not worth the bother

when you use them for work it's a different ball game
