Cheap air tools

Hi Guys,
I'm after am impact gun thats got plenty of power and i've seen this one, now it's pretty cheap which makes me wonder if it really will do the spec it says, but on the other hand it doesn't look too bad in the pictures, has anyone got any experience of this make or a similar one rebadged?

I doubt that spec is correct, especially for a Clarke, their 3/4" only does 500ft-lb. The 1/2" Ingersoll rand I use "only" does 600ft-lb.

That'll be the one that kwikfit use to fit wheelnuts - cranked up to full so you have to use a 6ft scaffolding pole to undo them, and end up bending the breaker bar and/or shearing the studs and/or stripping the threads in the hubs

I've got a Clarke air wrench like this -

Spec say260ft/lb but doubt it even produces that despite having a 200 ltr / 3hp compressor never managed to get massive amounts of torque out of it. I loosen wheel nuts with long bar and then use electric impact wrench. Lot faster than waiting for the compressor to build up so haven't used the air wrench for years.

I found Clarke one useless could undo tighter bolts with a ratchet. Now have a 110v makita does A much better job

I bought an Aldi rattle gun just to undo some bolts on a Zetec flywheel and it did the job no trouble. It's also been handy to remove bike sprocket nuts as well. It doesn't see a lot of use but it's handy for the occasional bits where you would have to lock the item to undo with a ratchet spanner or bar.

I watched one rip it up to about 150 lb ft with the rattle gun then check it with a torque wrench set to 60 lb ft.

At a place I used to go to for tyres, I've watched a chap tighten the bolts with a torque wrench until it clicked then keep going for another 1/4-turn or so. When I pointed this out to him, he didn't seem to understand what he was doing wrong

As with all tyre places, I check the tyre pressures and retorque the nuts once I get home...

I know we are off the original topic now but..

I asked a tyre place to move the jack on my car as he had jacked it on the floor pan, his response was "It's got a rubber pad on it so it should be ok",I politely pointed out the error in his thinking.

Got my own tyre changer now so no more issues

I do love the wang it up with air gun then check it's over 70lb with torque wrench then throw the torque wrench across the floor to their mate.
