Chinese Diesel Heater

Anyone had the E08 error on one of these cheap heaters?
An suggestions on the fix.
After my initial issues it's worked exceptionally well.
It powers up fine, gets up to temperature, and after circa 5 minutes shuts down, goes through cool down cycle and then throws up the E-08 error. Disconnected power supply and used charged battery same problem.
Removed glow plug and cleaned very light grey deposits, removed small mesh screen only slightly heat coloured, no soot or anything blocking it, still same error code. Search internet for a fix, no joy on error 08 Basically at a loss on what to try next.

Not sure what error that would be but mine shuts down with an error if there's air in the fuel line, can't remember the fault code number though, mines got clear fuel lines so it's easy to see, some are non transparent lines though. Easy to get air in if you shove the pipe into the tank like I do rather than fitting it via a little drain off valve, not sure on your setup.

Jimbo, I've got clear fuel lines and always had a few bubbles in the line after the pump but its never appeared to be a problem. However I'll try your suggestion

Gaz not too sure about the you tube clip did not seem to show anything about the error, (but at work we have no speakers on PC's so watched in silence.)
Regards power I did check, multimeter showed constant 12v even when glow plug lights up. When using Battery it never dropped below 13.3v
Plus I was of the understanding the greatest demand was on start up, once running it uses less power its at this time it shuts down i.e. at point of relatively low demand.

E08 Over or low supply voltage Use multimeter to check the voltage of power. If it’s lower than DC 10V, please charge the battery or use a new one; if it’s higher than DC 15V, please use a new battery.

How thick are the wires? Bad contacts?

90% of probs are battery related IME.

I read somewhere that a bad connection can give the same low/high voltage error.

I had this on the heater in my truck. It was installed fine and worked fine for a winter. Didnt run it a over the summer, like I used to with the German one, and now it wont work this winter.

Did a bit of research on the E08 and found the bad voltage comments. I cleaned all the connections and replaced the factory cable with a bit of 6mm I had. It always struck me as a bit thin for this heater anyway. The eber factory one was loads thicker.

Anyhow, all works fine now. Have it on in work every day - just does its thing on the thermostat. Handy as I work out of the truck and 9/10 have a dog with me.

Cheers everyone.
Been trying everything suggested. Same issue. Cable installed is thicker than me.
However cut the exhaust pipe with angle grinder prior to Chinese silencers. So now straight through exhaust system. No issues currently ticking over nicely. Only downside much louder outside. I suspect it’s a back pressure issue. I will keep experimenting and report accordingly. Very odd that it used to work with chinesium silencers though....?

Those chinese exhausts and air intake silencers are cr@p!! I've had both collapse inside when using them with the eber one which may be your issue. If you go on the levenko (sp?) varnish website, he does a side site with eber heaters. He's dissected and trialled a few of the chinese bits on there. Hes come to the same conclusion as me about the cr@pness of them.

Well that seams to match my issue. They do still look in tack though. Might dissect one shortly

The inlet silencer I had collapsed inside and choked the heater. Luckily it didnt drag all the guts into the heater.

Theres not a lot to the silencers if I recall. A eber one on evilbay isnt too deadly, costwise

Update on the E-8 error. Having tried just about everything on you tube and google I got and fitted a new temperature sensor. It’s run faultlessly for a few hours, so finger crossed. Must also say it’s a lot warmer than previous.
