Im thinking of doing away with the original power feed on my bridgeport for 2 reasons, the gears are jumping, the contactor is sticking and the transformer sounds like its dying, has anyone replaces the orginal one with a chinese version on the x axis

If you do, I would be interested in it, I've got one for my Bridgeport clone, sat in a box as the gears aren't the right size.
I can't remember what make it is, it's pretty common though.

I would be very interested to know how you worked that out (I am NOT being sarcastic ) I have an Align fitted to my Mill and it was factory supplied and has worked just fine for me, couldn't be without it to be honest. As my Mill was made in Taiwan I just naturally assumed the Align power feed was Chinese? I have no power feed on the Y axis though nor is this offered on an RF 45 Mill but I would very much like one. I just haven't worked out how to do it and to be honest I don't need the Mill in bits for three months or even three minutes for that matter, while I work out what to do so I will just forget the idea and put it down to wishful thinking.
