Could not believe my eyes how un professional they portrayed their services when I just saw the t.v advert. Starting with a hurt big abrasive block, it culmulated in the dude localising blue basecoat on a white undercoat/primer. Can't believe no one at head office picked up on it.

ive used white undercoat/primer with blue base (candy blue) it makes it shine through the candy, it can also be good with pearls.

i suppose i depends on what the guy was trying to achieve i suppose if you have quite light blue paintwork putting dark primer on may leave a dark spot or leave you having to heap on the base to get good colour build or coverage

used to redo loads of chips away jobs at the bodyshop as the car sales wouldnt pay our prices

theyre some right bodgers and at the time the paint they used frazled up under our stuff

read the post again. He was NOT painting pearl or custom coats or an entire panel, he was doing a LOCAL COB. That's my point. The pro painters will understand.

yes i read the post correctly but the point i was trying to make was if he had used a darker undercoat it may have had an effect on the colour of the chip when finished i suppose these people will have a few different tricks they use when it comes to repairing chips that you wouldnt use normaly, is the advert on youtube by any chance ive never seen it
