Chrome air filter

Hi

I have a wee land rover series 3 with rover v8 with weber and pancake filter.

It hasn't done much work she has been off the road on the drive. but the chrome is ruined. Is their anything I can do or is it really just clean up and re chrome.

Have a look at Frost.
They do a "Like Chrome" kit.

But that pancake has no chrome left. It needs a dam good clean.

I should have put on title. Used to have chrome airfilter.

Think I will just clean and paint.

Edlebrock...one of China,s finest chromed items ever to hit the USA shores and then be re-sold as American tuning bits. Hit it with the DA and paint it and have done

Probably the cheapest poor quality air filter around, poorly chromed in china to a price, no copper just a flash of nickel and a flash chrome, it was never gonna last in our climate without looking after it

I once had a pair of rocker covers chromed and was slapped around the head with a bill for sixty pounds. On another occasion I got looking at shiny mericun stuff and had a new pair that were plated sent over for half that. There is a very good reason that brand new chrome plated rocker covers can be sent to the states from China, sold to a retailer who sell`s and packages them to England for half the cost of just the chrome,they are pure tosh.

Made a mold and had my own cast in ali.for about £10 a pop

repaint or use carbon effect Vinyl, think mine must give me an extra 5 BHP

and mine started of in life as the bottom of a cake tin

Clean it up then paint or powder coat it, chrome on a Land Rover....... AAArr. NNooooooooooo
