Decided i wanted the power cable on my clarke to come out of the back of the machine rather than the front so...
First thing's first... Take the cover off.

Wiring is fairly straightforward. Blue to blue, brown to brown on the back of the switch, earth bolted to the base in the middle (6 or 7mm nut, i can't remember)

Hole that the cable comes out of is 20mm, with a small tab cut out. DONT do what i did and drill a 22mm hole in the other end or the plastic bit will not clip back into place. Old hole and cable:

New hole. I wouldn't drill it there if i was doing it again, i'd go higher up between the transformer and the fan and follow the existing cables to the front

Reconnect wires and cable tie in place so the cable isn't flapping about inside the case. I don't know how hot any of the components get so i decided it was best to avoid the cable touching any of them, to do that i had to move the transformer forward a tiny bit. Fortunately for me there's already screw holes in the base to allow this to happen.

Replace lid and test. The light in the power switch no longer works. apart from that no problems, the fan works and it welds just as well as it did before
no photos of that bit, sorry.
