Clarke 3 phase compressor wiring

Hi

So I've had the below compressor for around 2.5 years. Purchased from Facebook knowing nothing about compressors. Was running on a 13amp plug.

Seems one of the massive capacitors has died and now useless unless I have a 3 phase supply. However, have just moved workshops and have 3 phase

Looking for wiring diagram for it so I can hook it up to the 3 phase socket.

The clarke manual is generic and useless.

It looks like a 3-phase terminal block. The capacitors suggest that it may have been frigged to run (badly) on single phase. We do need to see the motor rating plate.

If it is the one pictured I would remove all the capacitors put the links across the top or bottom three terminals and connect the 3ph supply to the other three.

if it is 3 phase the motor it will be marked 230 and 415v 3 phase dual voltage not single phase .get rid of the capacitors and set the links for high voltage 415 volt

Whats the difference between the terminal block in a single phase motor compared to a three phase one? Nearly all the single phase motors I see have exactly the same six stud terminal block

Ive seen this wiring on a few single phase motors from the factory, think it could be a brook crompton one, but not 100% sure of the make.

Perhaps they fit them on new motors, but generally there are only four wires to worry about with a single phase.

Thanks for that, not sure I would call some of the motors I've dealt with in the last 35 years to be modern, but nearly all the ones I see are permanent cap motors and use one of the studs to connect the capacitor to

Its definitely 3 phase, can't get to the plate easily and is covered in crap, my leccy friend is wiring it up this week

Good luck with those bolts might be worth getting a new motor terminal block now, ready for when they shear off.
