I am about to replace the head gaskets on my clarke SE16C100. Does anyone know if they should be fitted "dry" or should they be coated in some kind of gasket sealant like hylomar etc that is used on cars?
Head gaskets on cars are not fitted with any added sealant, they rely on the material being compressed to the correct pressure and the faces of the head being true. The gaskets on my compressor are the same.
