Clarke se18 compressor,

Hi,
Please, please, can someone help me!i have spoken to the guys at machine mart three times,
And the haven't got a clue, so here I am.
I have a clarke se10 compressor, which I brought from eBay about two years ago, worked fine up to about three weeks ago.
It starts and runs fine, but it knocks the little trip out above the motor, when it gets to about ten to twelve on the pressure gauge.the guys said it was the little trip and I am now on my third one.
The fault is still there,
Please can some one help!!

Is there oil in the compressor is there any noises when its running

Is the air filter blocked

10 to 12 psi or bar?
Is the belt tight?

Hi,
Yes there's oil in it, I have cleaned the air filter, and it sound as good as new,
It's doing my head in....

Sorry, can't see if it is bar or psi, I can only see that the needle is at ten to twelve on the pressure dial.
I will cheque the belt in the morning.

By 10 to 12 do you mean as in a clock face?

Yes, sorry.
I cleaned it with some thinners, so I can't see the numbers through the plastic now,
I can only just make out where the needle is.

Should find the plastic frout on the gauge should pop of or unscrew.
