Clarke SHHH 2/9 Not working.

Hi,
I have a Clarke SHHH 2/9 which seems to be dead and I am looking for any clues on how to fix it, or to decide it is scrap.
Google brought me here...

It seems to be entirely dead, we've checked and it has power up to the connections on the motor case, and we cannot see any way to open the case other than by cutting as it seems to be welded shut...
Since it seems likely that it is otherwise scrap, I am tempted to try to cut a way in, but I thought it sensible to make some enquiries first.

Is there oil of the correct type in it?

If it's anything like a fridge motor it could be the "Klixon" thermal cutout, this should be found inside the plastic cover that the power cable to the pump goes into.

It is welded shut but runs at atmospheric pressure' I've opened fridge motors by grinding the lip.

Thanks for the prompt reply, but if it was the cut out then I would not expect power to be getting past it which it appears to be doing.

Where in wales are you Bob? I could look at it, or buy it for spares if you decide its a scrapper.

I don't mean the pressure cut-out, I mean the thermal one. If there is one it will be inside the motor connection box.

Do you have continuity between the three pins on the case.
