As I haven’t finished my other projects I thought it time to start another one!
Picked up a grinding head and table minus a base from local chap.
I was going to mount on a tool cabinet but couldn’t bring myself to not have the base. Then another chap had a base complete with another spindle and table and also centres with universal head!
Have now started work on paint for base.
Used the scrape to remove as much paint as possible.
Then a sand down and rust converter applied.
Moved onto high build primer which didn’t react on this machine like lathe did.
And put first coat of enamel in last night. This was grey I bought incorrectly for my Colchester and looks nice I think.
Second coat later which always looks much better.
Next up will be base mounts and then scraping in slides etc.
Hoping to get done over Christmas week off
