Classic Mig 200, should i ?

Afternoon all, advice needed, new to this and introduced myself on the newbie forum. Seen this classic mig 200 for sale that isn't to far away for collection.

Going to be used at home in the garage so needs to run on house hold electrics.

Currently tarting up a 1993 Triumph tiger and like the idea of making my own engine crash bars and panniers rack. Also exhaust's patch ups.

So no real need to weld over 5mm mill but might be nice to be able to so I could practice.

I like the idea of attempting a bit of aluminium work.

Is this to much of a machine for me ?
Hopefully pictures are attached, there's a pic of my fuse box in the garage as I have no idea what the max amps i can run.

If you are going to be welding thin stuff the lowest setting will be important, the plate would suggest 22A/15V which sounds good to me but you should get a second opinion on that.....

The plate shows it should be protected by a T 16A fuse which is slow acting, I think a C16 MCB would be more appropriate, How is your Garage consumer unit supplied?

As far as I know the garage electrics are powered from the house, the pic above is the braker unit in the garage

I think that's been made by Eland, so it is a good quality older machine.
Up to 150 Amps/5 mm should be fine on a 13 amp supply.

The sells says he has no gas but this doesn't mean it can't be tested.
This one previously 'sold' for £173 on Ebay, btw.

Thanks for that with no gas or wire how would I go about testing it ?

It went for £250, an absolute bargain for a high-quality machine in that condition. I would have thought it should have been close to £400.

I know, got out bid at the last minute but did end up buying a GYS 152 for £200 with a load of eccessories so not a complete loss
