Finally got around to welding up a bit of the huge supply of sprockets and bike chain.
The first piece in an ongoing series entitled "some scrap I welded together for practice"
1.6mm 6013 welded at 30a on my gys168.
Basically the first four sprockets out of the tank, and a length of chain. Just to "dial in" the technique, and make sure I'm not gonna waste my time building a tumble polisher to clean it properly.
Straight out of the diesel degreasing tank, a quick wipe down, and a touch of wire brush before welding.
Ps.
Wooden welding table + red diesel = lots of smoke.
