My recent post within stainless section, I was making adjustments to my Sat diver mate hard hat, which was beefing up hat handle, which also holds lamps or lamp and camera, depending on job.

I was left with the chrome plated brass bezel, which holds in place glass to hat. So I decided a clock and returned finished item back to Aberdeen, with the words *to remind you of the good times".

Beaten copper fixed to bezel with solid brass rivets.

Excellent!! Won't the exposed hands be vulnerable to being easily damaged?

Thank you, and clock sits on his office desk at home, it will get treated well, same as his collection of hard hats. If hands do get damaged, he will have to fix, as warranty has now expired

Thanks gents. Manu detail, I had some thin copper flashing sheet, using bezel as a template, marked and cut sheet to outside size, then annealed matl.. I drilled and deburred each hole, then added machine nut & bolt to each hole. Basically working shape using pear shape mallet and bean bag, until desired shape was reached, and again, annealing as required.

Drill hole for battery clock mechanism. Then using polishing dolly with appropriate soap, polished outer face, then clear lacquer finish. Fix copper to bezel using dome shaped solid brass rivets, I would have preferred a larger rivet, what you see is all I had at hand. Large stick on eyes added, job done.
