Hi guys.Having a little trouble with my cebora boxer 155 twin.It's been a great set for a few years now but it's playing up a little.Last time I used it was welding up some box frames so I had it running pretty much flat out, not for hours though.Now I've started it back up after not using for a few weeks and I'm back in to car body stuff so only ever use the first couple of settings. It's over running on the wire feed slightly so the wire is getting stuck to the job, it always previously burnt back and maybe a little to much. Also it on the lowest setting it seem to be to hot.I've taken the trigger apart and cleaned and cleaned out the inside of the machine and checked for any obvious problems but all looks okay.Any input would be very much appreciated.CheersKarl

May be a sticking relay failing to drop out quick enough, causing the over run.

If you pull the trigger while looking at the relay, can you see if the relay points (top right of the box) move ? As it may well have stuck/welded the contacts. I hope that is not metal/grinding dust all over the pcb

You will quite often see a spark as it brakes the circuit (eventually burns the points of the relay away or welds closed!). When you release the trigger the relay should drop straight out, if not you will get run on (a few mil seconds would be enough to cause it). Would look to replace relay as they are cheep enough (<£10).
As to the "it's actually live as well" not sure that a slow to open relay would cause that. If the "live" bit you refer to is the fact that it is live for a brief time (second or two) after releasing the trigger then the relay again would be cause. But if it remains live after that then would need to sus out circuit a bit more.
If you feed out say 6inches of wire, then release the trigger, then touch the 6inches of wire to the earth clamp WITHOUT pulling the trigger does it try to melt the wire or do you just see a small spark? If just a spark then that is just a residue voltage discharging (usually get this if the machine has a large capacitor or bank of capacitors mounted in the machine, is yours like that?)

ps the number on the relay "45.61" is what you need to get. Others can be used but MUST be checked for correct pin orientation + current capability + switching type.

For the FINDER catalog click on the EN language to download there catalog. http://www.findernet.com/en-GB/literature/catalogues
They don't list a 45.61 (page 69) so you will have to sus out the pins ect of yours and maybe use a 46 series (page 73)
