Hi guys.
Don't no if anyone is intrested but thought I'd share a little of Colchester lathes heritage. I can remember as a child playing along the railway that was right opposite Colchester lathes industrial buildings. But it's now a Tescos and a housing estate. But in memory of Colchester lathes there is memorial lathe in place for people to visit. And all the roads on the little estate are named after the lathes.

My daughter rented a place in Mascot square when she was at Colchester Uni. Most of it is STUDENT accommodation.

Yes. Most of Colchester industrial is now all housing. Paxmans is a housing estate. They used to do a lot of machine work on big engines ECT. There is not a lot left anymore.
