Collapsible car ramps

Want a welding project, but my garage isn't exactly spacious, so if I build myself some ramps, they need to be able to come apart for easy storage.

Has anyone done this before? And is it safe to use bolts on something like this, rather than welding all joints up? I'm thinking of a sort of stool with four scaffold-pole legs that come off, and a long ramp that can be unhooked, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the links; I was thinking more like the Ezup version of those Restoration ramps.

If you look at the pictures (third, fourth and fifth on this website), you can see that the wheel sits on a "stool" with legs coming out of the bottom, and a ramp leading up to it. I'd like to build that, but with the legs and ramp detachable for storage.
Achievable?

THANKS FOR THAT THE (Ez Up Car Ramps) are just what i have been looking for myself. wondering if i could use the normal ramps i have and just build the platforms to go with them ..

Them 12 foot system ramps (Gaves post), what size angle steel do you reckon they are using?

Quite fancy making them for my MG midget.
