Come by some Gas welding rods, but what ?

Ow do all, i was cleaning out my uncles shed and came by these welding rods and wondered what they are for as if there any good i will flog them as i dont do gas welding, and doubt i will in the future.




On this tube it says Copper Coated Mild Steel



But on these it doesnt say anyhting, these are soldi same colour as i rubbed a rod down





these i think solid colour so not coated



Any chance of an ID so i know what i am selling, thats if there worth anyhting.

The gold ones look like brazing rods, used with a flux powder normally.

the ones on the right are just steel welding rods the center ones are brazing rods ,brass .and worth a fair few shillings unless u sell em to me cheap cos there only worth coppers the ones on the left i dont know rub em up with sandpaper and see if there ferrous or non ferrous are they single core or twisted /??

The copper coated ones look like oxy acetylene welding rods, mild steel copper plated. the tarnished ones are probably scrap.
The other s look like standard brazing rods, forget the makeup. Check th label, if it says aluminium br0nze they are very expensive, but useless for brazing.
Not much gas welding is done thsese days.
I might have snapped them up as I use them in sculptures, but am out of action for a while.
Get back to me in November as I will hopefully be on the go by then.

Thanks guys, so what they worth, there is 7.5kg of the copper coated mild steel rods, 4.7kg brazing rods and 3kg the others, they clean up shiny silver these ones. All a bit rough on the end but for the brazing rods.

Need cash now Chunk otherwise i would of waited, sorry

the tarnished ones are probably scrap.

chunk you rust most stuff, so must be of use to you for something lol
