commission's at last

I recently put a couple of birds in a book shop window at an art festival nearby and I took a call today from a man wanting 3 birds, 1 for him and 2 for his sons' xmas pressie. He came to view others at my house and commissioned 3 eagle's in flight and paid a deposit. I was thinking I would never sell any but getting 3 away in 1 go was a real bonus...got to deliver them to a farm near Manchester early November so thats Christmas sorted for this year...paying cash as well. He wants bloody rabbits in their talons though so thats gonna be a challenge to overcome but I have a few ideas...and would welcome anyone's input..anyone made a rabbit from steel out there???

Cant help with the rabbit. I'm only good at turning them inside out with a bit of lead

great news! Its typical for a spanner to be thrown into your first commission Its a good challenge for your skills, I look forward to seeing what you come up with!! I do think making the rabbit will be as difficult or more so than the eagle its self! good luck!!

Ye I did that as well last night he he. Ive got a few ideas from it.
My plan is to draw a side on rabbit on 1mm steel, double it over and cut the 2 halves together then bowl them out with the ball pein hammer and weld them together then detail it...sounds easy when you write it. Ive got a few months to try anyway
