Hi
I now have a decent Mig set, and am thinking about a decent mobile Arc set now.
There is an Oxford Arc in the farm workshop, but I aint pulling that around, we have used the old buzz type welders, one of wich was about the size of a modern invertor, but so heavy, that was a good welder.
I am now considering an Inverter Arc against Generator welders. I know the generator is truly mobile, for field work and the like, but then the inverter could go up to the top of a shed with me, I know about the physical comparison for what I want to do with it, but can anyone give me any oppions on their takes on them, on anything to look out for, any technical bits.
If I go inverter, I could do with it running from 240v 13 amp, or 16amp, that could go on 13 amp up to a certain point, then if I need more I would find a better supply, very unusual I would need to, but handy if I did etc, as I would just use the 3 phate Oxford. Any idea's on good inverters, that are not too delicate, but not hugely dear, aafter all, I am setting up on my own at the moment, and would not be doing an awful lot with it, just handy to have when a job comes in...
Cheers
Dave
