Complete newbie

Hi i'm new to the whole welding thing, I can paint a car and fix car but never done welding since school! about 20 years ago. I have the chance of a fan cooled arc welder upto 65 /250 amps. I was wondering if this would be okay for car body work.

If that means it only goes down to 65 amps, then it'll be no good for car body work.
Arc would be difficult (almost impossible!) enough, but not at those amps!

yea as above if you are seriously thinking of welding cars get a mig and not gasless
you will save load of holes blown through and you stress level will remain reasonable
