Compreesor differences???? HELP!!!

Tell me...whats the difference between the BELT DRIVE compressors that are advertised as the usual 'twin cylinder' and the ones that seem to have the v shape pistons???

I am looking at 2 different 200 litre compressors from same maker but one is the usual twin cylinder spec and the other has v shape pistons? Both belt drive.

Just curious here as they are roughly same price (different sellers).

I know the specs for one but am still trying to find info on the v shape piston one.

quite a lot of v twin compressors are twin stage pumps. one cylinder is larger than the other . the large cylinder compresses the air in to the smaller cylinder which then pumps the air in to the tank. a v twin is more eficient. the inline twin pumps both pump individualy to the tank and take more power to compress than the twin stage

So no differences in noise levels etc between the 2 types??? I need relative low noise levels.

Its Bergin Germany compressors I am looking at. Both are 3hp single phase. I'm in Ni and they are by far the best deals I can get here for a decent build quality at a reasonable price.

And I need to run of my standard 13 amp supply. So any difference between the 2 types regards this?

2-stage seem to take less HP to run so should be better on 13 amp.

A V-twin has better cooling as in an inline pump, one cylinder is shielded from the pulley fan by the other.

2 stage are generally used to obtain a higher pressure, the normal twin cylinder type V or in-line, are much more common.

They are all pretty noisey, best option is to build a sound proofing box for it.
50mm kingspan will calm things down nicely.
