compressor 4 breathable air

Hi

What type of compressor can be used to supply clean air for a sraying mask. ????

Will a oil lubricated compressor be ok if the write filters are used???

Lastly. What are the correct and best filters to use.


I have a large project that needs spraying in two pack.

I use a Clarke se16 compressor with correct 3 stage filtration you need a 3hp though and it works hard

are you using this for gun and mask or just the mask ?

I only use a devilbiss sri pro when using 2k so it just manages to supply enough air for this, approx. 3.5cfm and my mask about 6cfm but does run hard. I am thinking of adding a small 2hp compressor in my setup to help out as when I have finished painting the compressor is quite hot and some water is in the filter regulator, although I have never had any get past the coalescing filter. If you want to run something like a gti you would need 2 3hp compressors to give you any chance.

Why use a piston compressor? I just used a rotory vacuum /pressure pump it only works to about 20psi but gives plenty of oil free air to blasting mask/ head shield and is only about 1/3 hp. The other option is a diaphragm high volume low pressure pump
