You'll find that most tools don't come with connectors so you'll be buying a whole bunch of connectors for them anyway. There are two main types of coupling;
the hi-flow tail (which is shortish) and the PCL tail (which is the longer of the two);
It makes sense for you to standardise on one as that way all of your couplings / hoses should fit all of your tools. Having said that, there are converters available, too.
Then go buy your hose and ensure that it either has couplings that fit these connectors, or ends in a 1/4" BSP thread (which, confusingly, is around half an inch across!) then you can fit one of the connectors shown to either end.
When buying hose try and go for a rubber one rather than a plastic one, as they're far more flexible and less prone to spring back into their coil shape. Trying to get a hose with 10mm internal diameter as you'll have less restriction at higher outputs.
Then buy two of the RH0049s for the ends (other suppliers will use different product codes, but you'll get the gist) and then probably a bunch of 53003, 53002 for the tools depending on their connections.
You'll also need a water trap to go inline with the hose.
