Compressor drain

Whenever I drain my compressor only some droplets come out and I find that strange so today I opened the drain valve and I tried tilting the compressor and brownish/orange water came out, the compressor is a stanley one bought it in November (its new). Is this normal, should I always have to tilt my compressor to drain the water?

How can I level it perfectly for it to drain properly, I wish I had a vertical compressor :P

Well but a lot of liquid came out, is that safe? Shouldn't it always come out all of the water, so it doesn't rust?

it will rust no matter what. there's condensation in side all compressor tanks don't wurry

Put a shim a few mm thick under the foot/wheels the opposite end to the drain to give a bit of fall towards the drain

Try to ensure that the drain point is at the lowest position when draining.

I think it is at the lowest position but how can I be 100% sure?

Put a spirit level on the tank and have a look if it's sitting at an angle.

Surprised though that you need to tilt it with pressure in the tank.

the outlet isn't at the end anyhow so even tilting it wont completely drain it . its making a mountain out of a molehill its going to get wet and sweat no matter what u do . mines probably got a few pints in at the mo might empty it when I can be bothered

Ahahah I have seen that video in the past. Yeah mine will never get like that :P (That looks more like a pressure washer )
