Compressor feet

Hi

I just got a new compressor and its quite a tight fit under my bench. When the compressor is running it moves a little on the wheels and ends up touching the bench and vibrating. Id like to replace the wheels with rubber mounts. Does anyone know where i could get them from? Idealy im looking for something with a 10mm or 3/8 thread.

Just do a search for anti vibration feet, plenty will pop up.

I got 2 old engine mounts from the scrap yard, cut the rubber in half of both of them and i had 4 rubber feet, still on it today 10 years later.

Agreed a bit of old rubber or something, plonk the wheels directly on a small square and it wont move anywhere. No need to spend any amount of money of it.

yeh and when you actually see them you'll burst out laughing, they are pathetically small, wouldn't stop a food mixer vibrating... well maybe

Actually not a good idea. They are supposed to be free floating to stop the vibration from damaging the unit. Much better to be on shock mounts. My diving compressors are bolted to the floor through anti vibration chassis so that the compressor still floats on rubber mounts.

My Hydrovane is on wheels. I have no problem with it.
