Compressor Motor Wiring.

Can anyone help with the wiring on a new Clarke compressor motor? The new one has two capacitors and a different arrangement of the terminals and links.
This is the old motor.

And this is the new one, withy two capacitors, with the live, neutral and earth connected as we think, but is also needs the link wire attached to the cut-out switch. Should the link just come directly off the live feed again?

The live should be connected to the overload then the black wire from the overload connected to where you currently have the live wire connected.

That’s quite different to the old one then. That has the live connected to one terminal, and the link to the cut out, which is connected back to another terminal.

The older motor is using the top left connector to join the incoming mains to the overload. No windings or capacitor wires are connected to that terminal it’s just used to join the live connection. As all the connections on the new motor have either a winding or capacitor connected it has to be wired slightly different. It is difficult to make out where the black wire from the overload is connected to

The black wire from the overload is going to the same terminal as the yellow winding wire. The trouble is, that is also connected with a link to where we have the neutral wire connected, assuming that is correct.

In this case the neutral connection needs to be moved to where the live connection is in the picture(upper brass link) and the live then connected directly to the overload in the spare connector
