Compressor oil

Hi this is obviously a simple question for many of you but I thought I would check first.

What compressor oil goes in a Tiger 8/40 Turbo compressor? and how much? Got it free from a mate who recommended I change the oil. Its took a hammering painting a bumper for the wife's car and is a little low so I think its time to change it. Its a lovely little compressor builds up fast and runs a small Devilbiss gun really well, a touch noisy but I shut it in the shed and close the door. Just need to source a better moisture trap as the one I have (a small clarke one) I cant take the bowl off to clean it.

Straight 40 compressor oil from MM or anything similar from anywhere else Does it have a dipstick or a sight glass. They usually hold less than 1/2 litre.

Shes got a dipstick. Runs ok but does pass a little oil if really worked for a long period of time. I use it mainly for blowing up tyres, blow gun and most importantly so I can paint a few bits at home!

Using a 15w40 multigrade car oil will make it easier to start in the winter.
