Compressor pipe work setup

I'm getting myself a little confused about what pipework I should be running. I have recently bought a 3hp 90l 14 cfm burisch compressor. I have plenty of extension hoses but having done some reading they are not ideal.

The plan is to take the feed from the tank oulet via a hose to some 15mm copper. The compressor lives in my other gagage so was thinking of doing a few up and down runs with water outlets, then bringing the pipe thorough the wall.

I will only require a couple of outlets. I have a sand blasting gun which will probably use the most juice. Would there be any advantage to me using 22mm copper? Where's the best place to get the flexible hose from the tank. Are they a standard size.

I also don't fully understand how the copper attaches to the air pipes. Any links to the items I need to purchase would be a real help. I see xf fittings get good feedback on here so will probably go for these.

I would only use galv pipe or the correct plastic sort, 3/8" but I prefer 1/2".......a decent pipe stockist will have pipe ready threaded (both ends) at diff lengths, never expensive and of course the galv elbow's and T's etrc are also stocked........
never copper but some say it's OK.........
as for the flexy pipe from the comp to the pipework I used an Hydraulic pipe I had hanging around.......hyd flexy pipes are not that expensive around 3/8-1/2diameter and of course they have end to suit ur job....I also used a water drain cock there as well....
it's not a long job which ever material u use........

I use 1/2 regulators and 15mm copper pipe in my system and it works fine for blasting.

Flow depends on area, if you double the diameter of your pipes you quadruple the area.

15mm has an area of 22/7 * 7.5 * 7.5 = 176 mm²

22mm has an area of 22/7 * 11 * 11 = 380 mm²

1/4" has an area of 22/7 * 0.25 * 0.25 = 0.19 in²

1/2" has an area of 22/7 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.78 in²

Now you've built it I'd try it. Increasing the pressure will increase the flow.

Also with 22mm copper pipe you increase the surface area and thus the cooling.

I've used 22mm copper with a few drops with drains in and havnt had any issues - I've got 2 compressors linked together so not sure how yours would work with 22mm?
