Compressor problem

HI all

wonder if anybody can help ...Ive got a 185 diesel compressor , went to use it the other night (not used it for awhile) It starts up all right makes air goes upto 6 bar but when i turned the blast pot on to blast some wheels the pressure went down to about 2 - 3 bar and wouldn't build back up to 6 bar when in use .....is this right or is there something wrong with blast pot ...the pot wouldn't seal just through media out the top ...

I did notice the air tank thingy me bob inside the compressor got very hot .

any help will be great fully received

if its diesel driven and gets up to pressure the engine should idle .when your running does the engine run back to full speed when the outlets opened

yeah its goes to full speed when the outlet is open but the pressure drops down to roughly about 3 bar ...
