Compressor pump head gasket material.

I need to make a set of gaskets for my air compressor pumps head. Any idea what would be the best material to use? I have some Nitrile Bonded cork but I am not sure if it suitable.

You can buy gasket sheets from auto parts factors.
Last stuff I used was like paper, probably under 1mm thick.
Did the compressor about 3yrs ago(?) and it's been fine.
The A4 size ish sheet was only a couple of quid and did both heads

Try your local bearing factor/supplier most will stock various grades of gasket material.

I made one from an aluminium food tray, used the same for a moped head gasket as well.

I used a cornflake packet on my 10 bar compressor,it's been ok for a couple of years now so the gasket material probably isn't as critical as it might be on an engine.

I used some offcuts of Klinger gasket material from one of the local nearest gasket makers.
