compressor shed cooling

Have a 50l direct drive compressor under my bench in my garage, its noisey so was planning to box it off under the bench to help reduce noise, needs better cooling so was going to stick a grille in the door and a bathroom/kitchen extrator fan in the side. Do I have it blowing air onto the pump or draw hot air out of the box?

It would be better to draw the hot air out from the box as the other way wouldn't be as efficient and simply move the hot around inside.

Put it near the top where the hot air is and provide a vent near the bottom. Have the fan extracting, although I think you'll need something more powerful than a bathroom fan.

Make sure the airflow from the new fan doesn't conflict with the compressors own airflow.

up here you can use as much water as u like so I use it to cool my compressor

buy a 9 inch desk fan u can pick em up for a tenner . any smaller will be useless

yes as long as theres intake grille low down at one end and the output grille at the far end top and fan in the middle
