compressor wiring help

hi all,
i got this clarke air compressor cheap and in bits, but i need help with the last 2 wires. the 2 terminals were left loose but i'm not sure which way round the blue and brown wires go. can anyone help?

It doesn't make any difference which way the wires are connected as long as it is one to each of the posts circled as the motor will still spin the same way regardless of the way the wires are connected. Obviously green/yellow is the earth connection and should be connected to the earth terminal

I'd stick the live on the middle one because that's the one going to the start capacitor


to be fair... I'm not sure it'll make any difference to the capacitor or not... (I think it does to some?) - either way, that's the way they always come connected up so might as well do that?

The switch wiring looks a bit weird, you've got 1 live going to the top row and the corresponding neutral going to the bottom row. It's fine electrically, just unusual.

Good spot i looked and did not notice till i just re looked. Yes normal would be Supply one side and Load to the opposite side.
