Connecting compressors.

Got these two.
Can I join them?
How?
Is it worth it?
Ideally I would like to be able to spray my van,in the summer,out outside , low-pressure .
It's not going to be high end finish ,its a Ratvan but when ive rollered it before there has been lines visable.
Ive got these two just thought I might have a chance now.

My compressors are joined and works fine. One kicks in first and if it can't cope the pressure keeps dropping causing the second one to kick in. Works great for me.

That's how mine work, the noisy one is outside and kicks in 2nd and cuts out 1st to try to keep the neighbours happy(ish).

The other alternative I've seen is a system of relays so all compressors switch on when signalled by one pressure switch, but they switch on with a few seconds delay between each other so not to blow the MCB. Video here:

I don't see the point, easier to just plumb the compressors together and if one gets used more and wears out quicker that's probably better.

Did mine the same with a y piece with a couple of pcl adapter's and a short whip lead to the second, this way can easily disconnect in 30 seconds.

I have adjusted the pressure cut valve block so ones a top up (light use) and then the 2nd one is for when I need higher air flow.

One cuts in about 65psi and the second around 50psi if it drops that low where the first one can't cope.

That's not our house, back room at my workshop. Just gave the sofa to a mate and going to be used as a storage room as I strip out the Amazon.

Pondman had one of those direct drive vee twins in his workshop, made me jump every time it started as they just burst into life flat out and they are sooo noisy!

Out in the back room for that reason and isolated from where I spray so no contaminated air.

I had my 2 25l compressors plumbed into a 47kg propane tank & the 2 pressure switches set 10psi apart. The gas cylinder acted as extra storage & it allowed the air to cool a bit and get more moisture out.

Talking to an old mechanic today,he told me about using wagon tyres as reservoirs.
