Contacting other members

I tried a short time ago to contact a member in my local area. I have not
received a reply. I have come to the conclusion that the member may not
reply to messages, that he no longer goes on the forum or he is no longer a
member. How do I know ? Are member details removed after a period of
inactivity ? Am I missing something ?

go onto their profile, will say when they were last online

You have only been a member 16 days max.

He could be on holiday. Or just ignoring what normally ends up as being spam when its from a newly joined up member.

But like denisstark said check their profile & see if they have posted / been online recently.
