The Cooler... 36ft of 1/2" copper recycled from heating coils. Turned out better than I'd hoped for, as it was a right bodgy job, as the coils had been outside for years and had frozen and split in a couple of places. A few repairs and a bit of jiggery-pokery, and it holds air well. So far.

The main water collection point, downhill from the cooler. It's only 3/4" pipe, but 6ft of that holds half a litre. It will do for now, until I see how much water I collect. Easy enough to add more or a bigger pipe.

I'm pleased to find the rattle gun whizzes along nicely, when plugged in, with no apparent loss of oomph.

More to do yet, but that's a start.

shot the coil in a drum of water and it will be 100 percent that's what I used when I was shot blasting for long periods just on my blast helmet feed though. was gasping for cool air iot will start to get warm and condense after 15 minutes constant use blasting at full volume

Just have to order some large bore outlets, as I want the wall supply to have the max flow it can, and the fittings I have are 1/4" BSP with a relatively narrow orifice. The wall outlets will take 1/2"BSP, and I only had one of them, having used up two on the compressor.

Couldn't agree more. It depends upon the time and the air volume being used, along with the humidity of the day. If you are going to be blasting for long periods then the coil in cold water would be also advisable, possibly with ice in it. You would be quite supprised as to the amount of water that will come out. The longer you run / blast the hotter the outlet will get, this will also carry over more humidity and water vapour and end out on the job. Two days ago wanted to complete painting of the cat started earlier this year, but humidity was up to 95%, so didn't paint. Next day humidity was down to 75% so painted. Compressor running start / stop for over 6hrs at 28 celcius @50psi outlet pressure. Refrigerated drier discharged about 1.5 liters of water. Haven't drained to compressor tank yet, but there will be quite some in there. One thing to note, is that with higher air pressure / density the effective ability to remove moisture in the air stream improves. If you pipe work is too small internal diameter the air speed through the pipe work will forcibly push water through the lines. The pipe work of your cooling system needs to be larger diameter to slow down the air speed so the when water drops out it stays out. I am only saying this as I cannot see what you have done in it's entirety, and the the conditions / parameters it is used under. Again this will only possibly be a problem on long hot humid run times
