Copper forging

A Few years ago I bought a copper boiler from a Guy in the Ozark mountains USA http://www.coppermoonshinestills.com , he welds/forges these still boilers and does a really neat job, the other day I sent him a email asking how he does it, he sent back a reply say that be makes the sections up, Wires them together, and then carefully pours in molten copper into the joint/seam, and that was all he said, I haven't got the boiler now that he made for me, sold it, I could of posted picture of the joints of the boiler, they were like they were welded with a torch,

Reason for my post is, can anybody on the forum elaborate more on how this chap forges the joints on his boilers, anybody know more on how it's done? I want to have ago at it, I cant find any information on this.

Had a quick look at his site, nice quality work but the joints are not forged, just sealed/welded with copper.

General terminology- Forging is manufacturing process where metal is pressed, hammered or squeezed under great pressure into high strength parts known as forgings.
The process is normally (but not always) performed hot by preheating the metal to a desired temperature before it is worked. Forging process is entirely different to casting (or foundry) process, as metal used to make forged parts is never melted and poured.

Quite possibly the tapers etc are along the lines of the last link or a variation of impression forging.

I sent him a email asking exactly how he does it, don't know if he will tell me or not. you got to actually see the joints in the copper , they are real smart clean runs of weld, but it amazes me that it's done with copper, I have never seen it done like this before.
