Copper piping or plastic?

Sorry for yet another noob question but I am absolutely clueless to this kind of stuff.

I have some 15mm copper piping lengths that I was going to use to run from my compressor into my garage. The fittings were going to be compression fittings and the pipe is ordinary copper piping which used to run to a sink.

My neighbour told me that this isn't good enough and wouldn't withstand the pressure, is he right in what he is saying and just go with plastic piping or shall I continue with the copper piping and compression fittings?

Copper is fine, soldier it if you can though

+1 for copper. Some plastics can shatter if impacted when under pressure. If you do an outside run try to hide it or itinerant scrap metal thieves will steal it.

Don't forget it needs to be sloped back to a drop leg to allow water to drain

Yeah the compressor is in a shed which is on the back of the garage so all pipe work will be concealed out of sight.

So is any copper piping capable of withstanding the pressure?

Burst pressure of Around 58 bar (841psi) for 15mm copper tube and 51 bar (740 psi) for 22mm copper tube, so more than enough.
