Coupling compressors

Hi all, just ordered another compressor to upgrade from using a small 24ltr compressor by itself, ive ordered a 50ltr and im going to couple it up with the smaller one I know its safer to use a non return valve to save the smaller comp, but can someone please drwa me out a little diagram to show what parts are needed

I've done the same its more about tuning the pressure switches so that you don't exceed the pressure in either compressor,while setting mine up I did get the safety to blow a couple of times....the black box with the pull up on/off switch covers an adjustable screw which changes the pressure the compressor stops at...most cheaper switches only allow you to adjust the max pressure....be careful wear eye protection just in case the safety blows....its loud too...I removed the receiver plugs and fitted ball valves connected the two with suitable hose

Also set the switches so they operate at slightly different pressures so that both motors don't start at the same time.

agreed......the pressure differential on my switches were such they both switch off at max pressure but start up at a different pressure,you may be lucky too
