Anyone know of a source of these type of couplings CHEAP?

They are the short type rather than the longer PCL type.

I don't need quality, just cheapness as they are not to be used with a compressor, just to store air tools.

I need about 10

Unless you can find some secondhand ones you'll be lucky to find them for less than £4 or £5 each. Try a search for Rectus.

Yeah not worth doing for £50+

Will keep an eye out for some 2nd hand ones.
