Crushed Glass Grit

Hi Guys,
I'm currently rebuilding a Land Rover engine thats needs some aluminum bits cleaning up. Would a fine glass blast give a slight polished look ? or do I need to work down grit wise, as there's some stubborn grim the parts washer wont shift... Thinking of sourcing it from here http://www.appliedpi.com/abrasives1.php. Also I assume its ok to use it in a sandblasting blasting cabinet ? a small guyson one. Thanks

it will give a matt finish that is suitable for painting.u would need to bead blast to get a nice finish. heres the diffrence

clean the parts 1st either with fine grit to get rid of any paint or corosion as in my ist picture then bead blast to pein the finish otherwise it takes ages and sh,,,ts the beads up
