Hi there i have a small clarke compressor 25 ltr i think i have been giver a old cylinder off a artic trailer is there any easy way of rigging it up so i have a bigger capacity i know it would take a while to fill with air but it would be worth it
Just put a tee piece in the line Stokesey, and rig the artic cylinder in there. You choose where to put the tee piece - ideally before the output pressure regulator, so you can get maximum air in the cyl - whatever pressure the compressor is set to stop at. If you rig it into the line after the reg, then it'll only get as much pressure as the reg is set to.
Put the TEE piece between the tank and regulator of the Clarke, or use a spare port (if there is one) on the tank or existing pressure switch. That way the compressor will fill both tanks to full pressure, and the regulator will regulate the air from both tanks.
If you put it after the regulator the 2nd tank will only fill to the regulated pressure.
