hello ive been welding since I was 18 years old only mig and stick I would like to have a go at tig some time in future.ive built a few land rovers but my main passion is mercedes unimogs of which i have rebuilt many and modified some as well. I have a problem with my cebora 180 mig its about ten years old and has served me well only one morning I swithched it on and the gas was going and then when I squeezed the trigger the wire speed was at full regardless of the knob possition and the wire is live all the time if anyone can help.here are a couple of my mogs its the cabs that rot the chassis are nine mm thick Many thanks oi and my landrover trialer

i could do with that green one for my lawn!
had a similar thing with welders before and it was caused by metal swarf collecting in the terminals
a quick blow with the airline fixed the problem
if its got a euro torch, where the torch screws on to the welder you can remove it and blast with compressed air there
but in your case i would take the sidepanels off and give everything a thorough blast
i could do with that green one for my lawn!

Welcome to the forum, My son also uses Unimogs for his business, I think he has four or five at the moment. Mainly used with 24mtr spraying booms, also a big MB Trac, what part of Yorkshire are you, Rolled one of the Mog's a couple of years back,squashed the cab,bent the stainless tank and ruined the boom, Stripped down to the bare bones,found a replacement cab and changed it from left hand to right hand drive,fitted a new clutch unit,staightened the tank, sprayed chassis and cab then back to work,
Got a few pic's somewhere,will have to find and post if anybody is interested,

Cheers guys going out to the garage to give the cebora a good clean hope it cures the problem you dont half mis em when your migs broken.I live near Harewood north of leeds I have a total of five mogs all the smaller models as they suit my needs most Heres a picture of a project I started nearly fifteen years ago the cab was beyound repair so I fitted the Landy body my son and I are in the middle of converting it to disc brakes, anyone know of a friendly company with a laser cutter in the north they all seem to want cad drawings nowadays not cardboard cutouts once again thanks. ps please post some pictures of your sons mogs
