Daffodil

Was bored the otherday, so though i would attemp a different flower, seeing as its springtime, i though a daffodil was apt.

Its metal week at my daughters playschool this week so she can take it in


The petals should probably have been a bit broader, nevermind.

All made from sheet, stamen are bits of mig wire, shuck in with a big glob of araldite

Looks good, I've been meaning to make a flower out of scrap SS, at work but never get round to it. I recon you could get a nice effect with a bit of heat, to put some colour in to it

The bell is a cone made from sheet, a washer welded on the narrow end, the outer part cut into with a cutting disc, then beat over a big ball bearing.
Time wise, ages, but an odd 10 mins here and there.
I was thinking tulip or lilly next.

So basicly Hitch, you draw the petals on the sheet and then cut them out with a grinder?
Oh, i really should try to make one, you think i'd get away with welding it with the stick?

How about a stainless steel one, the petals are individually made, the whole thing is held together with an M6 bolt welded to the stem, the stamen stalks are 1.6 tig rod, with a balled end and tacked to a dome nut inside the bell.
