Deconstructed motorbike weirdness and maybe some cleverness?

First batch has been despatched with typical emergency deadline, Off to The Arndale Centre to a refurbished store

I must find a way of jamming the reset button

Fixings can you buy anything like this? fixing ally or plastic to the steel frame
Im using 20 x6mm cap screws welded onto 8mm bar set into rivnuts. A bit of a faff but works a treat

The reset button could be rendered inoperative by making a "washer" out of black plastic, cut a slot in it to slip over the spindle/shaft and glue it in place.

You could probably achieve something easier to get aligned and quicker to do with some all thread and the right sized thick walled tube. But it'll be considerably more expensive than rolled bar.

Couple of ideas
if you have acess to a lathe , turn the bar down and then thread it to 6mm
use 6mm threaded rod and slide some tube over the top if you don't like the threaded appearance
