understand your annoyance at the firm, but sorry can t agree with taking it out on the drivers ,lets face it they are regular people like you and me just trying to pay their bills and what happened to you wasnt their fault , obviosly not saying this to anoy or fall out with you in any way , but trust me multi drop delivery driver is a thankless job on a good day .(used to do it in town(london) )not for dhl eitherI do not use the kraut armholes. A few year back, before covid, I ordered something next day which was urgent. They did not deliver. I phoned up to arrange collection and the premium rate phone number, did not warn me that it was premium rate, and it cost me about an extra 15 quid in phone charges, plus the petrol etc...
This was after the rule/law change preventing premium rate numbers for customer service use? (I cant remember exactly). The IVR and person I spoke to kept me on the line as long as possible, mostly on hold.
As a result, when ever I see a DHL van or lorry, I play the silly game of trying to slow it down and inconvienience it as much as possible (within the allowences of the highway code, ofcourse). A particually joyous moment was when driving a council work van, I saw a DHL stop in an unsuitable place on the road near where I needed to be - plenty of sensible parking very close. I blocked it in for a while, as I attended to my duties. He was quite irritated when I returned
You choose who you work for. Anyway if delivery drivers park sensibly when a space is available... Its not acceptable to just dump it anywhere with hazards on.understand your annoyance at the firm, but sorry can t agree with taking it out on the drivers ,lets face it they are regular people like you and me just trying to pay their bills and what happened to you wasnt their fault , obviosly not saying this to anoy or fall out with you in any way , but trust me multi drop delivery driver is a thankless job on a good day .(used to do it in town(london) )not for dhl either
Wow, glad your not on the level of your cousin ,hate that , only had one incident where a driver marked as delivered ..it was nt, got straight on to managment , they found parcel hidden in van and told me he does nt work here anymore. You choose who you work for. My cousin works for Argos as a delivery driver. He tells me he often, perhaps on a daily basis, marks things as delivered before he gets to them, to make his statistics look better. He doesnt see that as fraud or why a customer may be greatly irritated by his decietful actions. I dont use Argos either.
Our RM, Parcel force and DPD drivers always mark things delivered, not in or whatever they like to suit their statistics.
