Die grinder and 90 degree sander

Hi guys,
Im on the lookout for a n ir die geinder and a 2" angle sander, seems they are quite popular at my new job, howervwr theres a mix match of wha people use, from mac , snapon, draper and silverline others 2.

Just wondered what people have used and what they like etc.

Prised up a mac die grinder and its over 200 and their die grinder bits are over 100 but with lifetime warrenty,
Ideally needs to be as powerful and reliable as possible but pretty quiet too as its to be used quite alot daily.

It depends on your air supply - cheaper tools waste a lot of air so use more air to do the same amount of work as a better quality unit.

the 2 tools i wouldnt mind is the die grinder and also the 20mm air belt sander as ive used them and like them

For sensible money quality air tools I think CP are very good. I have a 20mm belt sander and an impact gun, good support and you can get parts for them. The website has all the diagrams.
Only downside is a die grinder is £60-70 and for many that may be hard to justify when you buy cheap ones for less than £20.

One thing to bare in mind with CP air tools is they have a 1/4NPT inlet, most people just stick a 1/4BSP fitting in. I use a 1/4NPT hose barb and short flexible whip hose.

Not seen any of those units about..
Air supply isnt too much of an issue but i dont like waste lol

Well mac man was back today so i bit the bullett and bought a die grinder but his sander was too big..may take a look what CP have to offer

Air die grinders are okay but cold on the hands. I have a £30 electric one off the bay of evil which is superb and far more economical than running the compressor.

For home use i would agree, but when works got the big air reserve and compressor for numerous mechic bays and a spray booth, air was best option plus the air outlet has 360 degree swivel so can be aimed away from me what ever angle
